About Joshua D.W. Smith
Josh grew up in Huntington Beach, California and fell in love with making movies at a very young age.
Josh received his bachelor’s degree in Film and Media Studies from UC Santa Barbara in 2016 and was accepted into the Cannes American Pavilion Program during the 68th Festival de Cannes.
He became a Local 600 Camera Operator in 2020 and has worked as a Steadicam Operator on multiple episodes of network television, including FOX’s hit TV Show 9-1-1.
He currently resides in Los Angeles, CA and continues to pursue his passion for storytelling as a Steadicam Operator.
